A note from the owners

Our life at 2250 Papineau, in our own words

Letting this place go isn’t easy — we loved it in every season. The high ceilings, the sun pouring into the living room, the kitchen island just a few steps from the BBQ on the balcony. My favorite memories are nights with friends out there, string lights overhead, food still hot off the grill. Our summer tradition was simple: walk over for sandwiches, eat them in Parc La Fontaine, then come back with ice cream cones. The park is always alive — running clubs, dog walkers, tennis courts, picnics — and it’s right there.

What I’ll miss most is the morning routine: coffee in the rocking chair, sun catching every one of my plants, slow start to the day. The balcony is my reading spot in the warmer months, where the dog stretches out, and where I’d watch my son shoot hoops below — it’s the same spot where I saw him ride his very first balance bike. Our walk for ice cream takes us past the ducks in the park — which the dog and my son both love. Hosting was always effortless: we’d leave the balcony door open and people just flowed between the kitchen and outside. And the detail you don’t realize until you live here: the walls actually do their job — in all these years, never a single noise complaint.
